Well apart from the obvious need to get feedback on your work, and the joy when you hear a reader has enjoyed your book, some people do use reviews on Amazon as indicators of what they might choose next.
I'm been over the moon with the amount of emails, facebook and twitter comments I've gotten from people who have enjoyed RED RIBBONS, but not everyone posts a review on Amazon.
